• Starting the Game
  • If the game starts on a red checker screen select START on the menu and press the ENTER key to load the level select screen.
    • Levels are unlocked sequentially.
    • Your web browser automatically saves your game progress.
  • If the game starts directly in a level then you can immediately play.
• Game Controls
  • Desktop
    • Move left by pressing the left arrow key.
    • Move right by pressing the right arrow key.
    • Jump by pressing the up arrow key.
    • Enter doors by pressing the down arrow key.
  • Touchscreen devices
    • This game was designed for play on desktop computers or computing devices with a connected keyboard.
  • Controls & indicators
    • The upper right corner of the game has buttons for sound control, pausing the game, and level select.
• Game Play
  • Basics
    • Guide the duck across the platforms while avoiding the spikes.
      • You can move left or right & jump.
      • You can adjust your horizontal movement midjump, but there is no double jump.
      • Be careful to time your jumps to not hit your head on the ceiling, or hit it late enough you still make it over the spikes.
    • Collect the key & through the door to the next stage.
      • If you die after collecting the key you retain the key & do not need to collect it again.
  • Levels
    • This game has 15 stages which are unlocked sequentially.
      • You can go back to previously beat levels at any time.
      • Originally the game had 10 levels, but 5 additional levels were added on November 7, 2023.
    • Winning vs losing
      • You beat levels by avoiding spikes, collecting the key, bringing the key to the door, and entering the door to the next stage.
      • If you run into a spike you start back at the beginning of the level. If you collected the key before hitting a spike you do not need to collect the key again.
  • Tips
    • When you jump across platforms or jump over a series of spikes try to keep the same rhythm along the sequence.
    • If you need to change directions stop moving a bit before needed as momentum will still carry you forward a bit.
    • If you are jumping up onto a ledge where there are spikes on the side make sure you jump a bit out from the edge so you can move inward as you jump with little risk of hitting a spike.
    • If you are falling through a vertical row of spikes try to get somewhat close to the edge without touching spikes & then move hard toward that edge just after ing all the spikes.
    • On the final level you have to hit the spikes and die to make it back up to the door. It is impossible to jump high enough to make it to the starting platform after you collect the key.

  • The game is suited for players who like retro platforming games.
    • When the duck runs into spikes a bit of pixelated blood is shown on the screen near the point of impact.
