  • Earning money
    • Money comes from 2 places:

    • Money only appears for a brief time. Left click or tap on it to collect it before it disappears.

  • Defenses
    • Your castle relies on 5 different forms of defense.
      • Arrows
        • These are the cheapest forms of defense and can take down most orcs in a single shot.
        • To work, you must put them in the path itself. They will fly forward until they hit an orc or leave the screen.
      • Spikes
        • These are stationary defenses that will eventually stop most orcs from getting through.
        • Laying these toward the middle of the screen and then working your way left will generally be sufficient to protect the castle without needing to use any of the other defenses.
      • Bomb boxes
        • Bombs contain explosives within them.
        • When an orc walks past or attacks them, they explode.
      • Rolling stone
        • A rolling stone travels down the length of a path, like an arrow.
        • It will take out all the orcs traveling down the line.

        • There are 3 kinds of knight in this game.

    • The orcs will gradually wear out your defenses, meaning you must replace them every so often.
  • Tips
    • Use the spikes (and use them often).
      • The spikes are cheap and fit within your budget in the opening game.
      • You can afford a full set of spikes within the opening of the game with 4 coins to spare.
      • The spikes are easy to replace and work longer than arrows in keeping each track guarded. They also have better returns.
        • Using arrows breaks even: An arrow costs 1 coin while an orc yields 1 coin.
        • Spikes cost 2 coins but take out up to 5 orcs, which yield 5 coins each. This gives you a net profit of 3 (minus replacement costs).
        • Using the spikes lets you earn more money for more elaborate defenses.
    • Place the cheapest defenses closer to the left side of the track to take out as many orcs as you can. This way, you can build up an income to replace and expand your initial defenses. This also prevents the orcs from attacking your castle prematurely.
    • Use the “heavy hitters” (bomb boxes and rolling stones) when there are multiple orcs approaching.
    • Place the knights at the gate of your castle as a last-ditch defense.
