Game Play
Basics
This is a rather challenging digging game where the goal is to get each of the colored donuts to come to rest inside a pipe of the same color.
Features
Colored donuts – each of these must land in the pipe of the same color.
Donuts can touch pipes of other colors provided the pipes are already filled, but donuts may not enter a pipe of a different color.
Colored pipes – these receive the colored donuts.
In some cases you need to dig into the pipe area a bit for it to accept a colored donut.
Donuts which have a lot of energy can bounce in and out. If the donut bounces out of place and does not go back in that does not count as a match.
Spikes – touching these with the colored donuts leads to instant death.
Lasers – these destroy any colored donuts that touch them.
Lasers can be blocked by strategically dropping boulders or wood boards.
Floating bubbles – these clear bubbles float up when activated by touching a colored donut.
When activated a bubble floats for a few seconds before the floating bubble then pops & the colored donut falls.
Boulders – these can be used to block lasers & often must be moved out of the way to enable the colored donuts to reach the colored pipes.
These can also be used to detonate mines and flip boards out of your way.
TNT – these explode on with each other or almost any other item beyond a board.
They also explode if they touch each other.
Mines – these explode on with colored donuts or other objects like TNT.
They can be moving or fixed.
Some stages allow you to detonate multiple mines at the same time by dropping a TNT, though in most cases you can only detonate a single mine with a TNT package.
Vacuums – these suck items which cross their path into them.
Bubble gum – these pink bubble gum looking bubbles can be used to fill in vacuums & stop their sucking.
Boards – these can be used as ramps, to block lasers, or to provide barriers preventing colored donuts from running into other hazards like TNT.
Blue platforms – these are non-moving platforms which can other items & do not move.
In some cases they make levels far more challenging by requiring you to make sharp turns or requiring using floating bubbles to get around them.
Levels
This game has 30 levels which are unlocked sequentially.
You can go back and replay previously beat levels at any time.
Winning vs losing
You beat a level by safely getting each colored donut safely into a resting position in the pipe of the same color.
You lose if any of the donuts go into the wrong colored pipe or gets damaged by running into an obstacle.
Tips
Order of operations
The order of operation matters greatly in this game.
You often have to clear out obstacles before bringing the donuts down. Sometimes obstacles need to be cleared way out of the way to not interfere with your eventual path building for the donuts.
If there are donut paths which could interfere with the paths of other donuts try to bring down the donuts which have more direct paths first.
Path making
If you need a lot of momentum you can make the paths a bit wider than needed & cut out the later part of the path in advance so that when you set the donut loose at the top it moves fastly.
If you need precision timing you can leave the exit portion of the path narrower to stop the donut just before the exit.
If you are making a move which requires a large horizontal jump be sure the path before it is smooth and make the exit landing spot a bit lower cut so that you still make the jump even if the donut does not go as quick as you wish.
Difficulty
This game is much harder than the prior games in this series.
Some of the early stages in the game are quite difficult. For example, stage 7 is only 1/4 of the way through the game but is one of the two or three hardest stages.
If you get stuck on a stage use the walkthrough video to see an example solution.
