Basic rules
Lore
Teehees is, in its in-universe lore, an experimental Sokoban-style game made by the fictitious Texas Electronics that was abandoned largely because its testers found the game glitchy and frustratingly hard.
The game is filled with visual flickering, which become a shorthand for the actual puzzles found in the game.
Your task is to, well, keep playing and see where the game takes you.
Objectives
Your task is to reach the spiral tile on the level to exit it.
Push any boxes blocking your path out of the way.
You can only push the boxes from a free side.
If a box hits a wall or another box, it cannot move from that direction and must be pushed elsewhere.
Once a box is in a corner, it cannot be moved.
Push the boxes onto switches to open doors.
Glitching
Glitching provides much of the game’s challenges.
Glitches are triggered when you line up 4 or more objects together.
Visual glitching removes one of the objects in the scanline or row, which is either a door, a block, the spiral, or you.
Glitches move from left to right.
Glitching can open and shut down doors:
When you try to through a door that glitches shut, you die.
Whether the door glitches is crucial for solving some of the levels.
Some areas can be accessed only when the door glitches out,.
Doors glitching shut can be a hazard.
When you glitch into a box, you occupy the same space as the box.
Glitching into a box will not kill you.
Use glitching over boxes to through them when needed.
Move with caution when glitching into boxes. You might accidentally push a box in the wrong direction.
Winning vs. Losing
You win when you reach the spiral tile.
Once you win, the game automatically loads the next level.
You lose when you get trapped on a door or do a misstep that renders the game unsolvable.
In times when you get trapped on a door, the game will automatically reload the level.
You can also reload the level yourself.
Levels
Each level of this game corresponds to a testing phase of the game in the lore.
The lore attached to the game describes some sort of obstacle you need to overcome, often through the use of glitching.
The game does not save your level progress.
Tips and tricks
Some of the rules of Sokoban apply to this game.
Pay attention to the size of the corridors; this will clue you in on where you’re supposed to push the boxes.
Because of the way the boxes move, you can’t always take the short route. Push the boxes toward the routes that leave you room to push them where they need to go.
Expect a lot of backtracking to push the boxes in a different direction.
When you think you can’t find a way out, count on glitches to carry the day.
Glitching can open doors.
You can walk through boxes that are glitching.

The game is suited for players who like vintage Atari-era games, logic puzzle games, or Sokoban games.
